\u00a0Dear friend,<\/b><\/div>\n
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>Training Nationals for Nationals<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>in integrity and skills (Psalm 78:72)<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n
(Ecc 11:1)\u00a0 Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days.<\/div>\n
(Psa 118:23)\u00a0 This is the LORD'S doing; it\u00a0is<\/i>\u00a0marvellous in our eyes.<\/div>\n
I.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0VIETNAM<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n

It was with great joy and anticipation when the good Lord gave me the privilege to visit Vietnam again.\u00a0 My first contact with the Vietnamese was during the 1980s when some Vietnamese were the boat-people, escaping from the tyranny of the Communist government.\u00a0 They landed almost daily in Singapore and were encamped in Sembawang.\u00a0 Some pastors and members of the church I was pastoring at that time took time off to minister to them.\u00a0 God worked a great work, reviving Christians and saving unbelievers.\u00a0 We had good baptism services in the sea off Sembawang Park.\u00a0 One young man, who was disillusioned, re-dedicated his life to be the pastor of the group that went to Italy.\u00a0 Their favourite song was \u201cGod will guide me with His eyes<\/i>\u201d, as they ventured forth into the unknown, into foreign soils.\u00a0 Most immigrated to Australia.\u00a0 I was privileged to visit some of them in Melbourne.<\/p>\n

Soon after, another church that I was pastoring had the privilege to help support three Vietnamese families, one after another, when they were in Singapore for studies in Christian ministries.\u00a0 It was great to have fellowship with two families, and to rejoice over God blessing their lives.\u00a0 One is now pastoring a church of 800.\u00a0 Another is an assistant pastor of a church of 450.\u00a0 The third one is involved in training pastors and church leaders.\u00a0 Praise the good Lord, for putting into our hearts to cast our bread upon the waters and we are seeing God multiplying the works of our hands.\u00a0 Thank you, Lord.<\/p>\n

We are praying for God\u2019s leading and blessing for 2012 in Vietnam.\u00a0 The first photo is of the picnic time we had.\u00a0 The church uses times like this to bring new people and pre-believers to Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n

II. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0MYANMAR<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Seminary for Adoption:<\/span>\u00a0 A training school of 50+ students and 8 faculty members are in dire need of about Sing$2000 or US$1600 per month for the next six months, till end of January, 2012.\u00a0 After that, prayer and vision will be needed for the next phase.\u00a0 Please pray about this as we desire to train leaders to the 55+ million nation.\u00a0 The second photo is about the seminary with students, pastors and teachers.<\/p>\n

Special Conferences:<\/span>\u00a0 Training for pastors and leaders will be held in Mandalay and Maymyo, 1-9 November.\u00a0 One-day special conference on the\u00a0History of Redemption<\/i>\u00a0will be held in Nov. 3 and another one in Nov. 4 in co-operation with a publishing company.\u00a0 We are praying for a good team to help train nationals.\u00a0 Please pray for God\u2019s leading and blessing.<\/p>\n

III.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Medan INDONESIA<\/span>, \u00a0Sept 5-9:<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>Rev. Andrew Tan and I will be training the good number of 65+ pastors and leaders from Medan, Acheh and Nias.\u00a0 God be praised for supplying us some materials to help in the training.\u00a0\u00a0 The two subjects will be (1) The study of the\u00a0Gospel of Luke<\/i>\u00a0and (2)\u00a0God\u2019s History of Redemption \u2013 Genesis<\/i>\u00a0account.\u00a0 Last session for the year \u00a0in Medan will be 21-25 November.\u00a0 God is faithful in enabling us to train four times a year in Medan.\u00a0 The third photo is about the pastors and leaders in Medan.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Our point-man, Rev. Haposan desires to start an undergraduate program in Christian ministry.\u00a0 Please pray for this new endeavour.\u00a0 Our prayer is to train Nationals so that they can train their own.\u00a0 This is bearing fruits in our brother\u2019s life and in other lives too as God transform lives and build knowledge, wisdom and skills.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
IV.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>NEPAL<\/span><\/b>
\n<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sept. 18 \u2013 22<\/b>\u00a0<\/b>:\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>Kathmandu<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/b>\u2013 \u00a0<\/b>Trainer John Ching and I will training about 45 pastors and leaders.\u00a0 He will be doing\u00a0Good Soil Evangelism<\/i>, while I will be concentrating on theHistory of Redemption - Genesis<\/i>.\u00a0 We will also be having our first ever Graduation on Thursday evening, Sept. 22nd<\/sup>.\u00a0 Please come and celebrate with us if you can.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sept. 25 \u2013 29<\/b>\u00a0<\/b>:\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>East Nepal<\/span><\/b>\u00a0\u2013 this will be our second session with the new batch of pastors and leaders in the East.\u00a0\u00a0Please pray for good bonding and great learning experiences.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
