Hi friend,<\/strong><\/p>\n

Training Nationals for Nationals<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>in integrity and skills (Psalm 78:72)<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Praise the good Lord for some special times in Indonesia and Nepal.<\/b><\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>MEDAN, INDONESIA<\/span><\/b>.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

A.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>Training (16-20 Sept) was done by Rev. Dr. Yap Kim Sin and Mr. Ding Yew Soong.\u00a0\u00a0This will conclude training for some for the Master of Ministry program.<\/b><\/p>\n

B.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>Graduation of 30 on Sat. 21 Sept.\u00a0\u00a0We had the privilege and joy of graduating 49 two years ago. Now we are adding 30 to the list. The graduates are scattered throughout 290 million Indonesians.\u00a0\u00a0We are in Medan four times a year and thus the students can complete the MMin degree in two years.<\/b><\/p>\n

C.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>We had a good praying and planning time with Rev. Hapason Siregar who is our point-man in Medan.\u00a0The Bible and College, \u201cSekolah Tinggi Teologi Injili Betania\u201d is registered with the government and we are praying and planning with him to work on faculty, curriculum and resources.\u00a0\u00a0The college can award degrees in theology and education.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

D.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>He is at present building the third storey to the education centre to cater for the college students.\u00a0\u00a0Please pray for and with us as we train in Indonesia.<\/b><\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>Training in\u00a0Kathmandu, Nepal.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

A.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>Mr Ding Yew Soong and I with Benjamin Tsao as co-teacher trained some 55 pastors and leaders. We are mentoring Ben for missions ahead.<\/b><\/p>\n

B.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>Our point-man, Dil Tamang will be starting regular annual training for some invited leaders for certificate and diploma courses.<\/b><\/p>\n

C.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>The Lord willing, we will be graduating some 30 students the next September, 2014.\u00a0\u00a0We graduated 23 the last time.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

D.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>Please pray for Nepal as it goes through political changes.<\/b><\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>Some\u00a0quick dates\u00a0ahead for prayer<\/span><\/b>:<\/b><\/p>\n

A.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>Training in\u00a0Mandalay, Myanmar<\/span>, 30 October to 7 November. A team from Singapore will conduct Pastors\u2019 Workshop.\u00a0\u00a0Some pastors are working towards a Master degree.\u00a0\u00a0Pray also for our point-man, Rev. James Biak Lian as he works on his dissertation for the Doctor of Ministry degree.\u00a0\u00a0As he is equipped, we believe that the good Lord will use him to train his own people.<\/b><\/p>\n

B.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>Training in\u00a0Medan, Indonesia<\/span>, 18-22 November. Rev. Yap Beng Shin and Rev. Mark Tay will be the trainers.\u00a0\u00a0Let us pray for a fresh batch of pastors and leaders to be trained.<\/b><\/p>\n

C.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>Myitkyina, Myanmar<\/span><\/b>\u00a0\u2013 Spiritual Conference, 21-27 Jan. 2014<\/b><\/p>\n

We are praying for a good team to minister to the Fellowship of some 30 churches.\u00a0\u00a0The host church will be having its 25th Anniversary celebration.\u00a0\u00a0The emphasis will be on evangelism and revival.\u00a0\u00a0We are praying for souls to be saved and saints to be revived. \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>STOP PRESS<\/span><\/b>!\u00a0\u00a0In Singapore,\u00a0<\/b>Healthy Church Seminar<\/span><\/b>, Sat. Nov. 9th<\/sup>, (9am to 5pm), at Shalom BP Church, 4 Loyang Besar Close, Singapore 509025 (Tel. 65810311).<\/b><\/p>\n

The\u00a0<\/b>church is not just an organization.\u00a0\u00a0It is a living organism.\u00a0\u00a0Any healthy organism will grow.\u00a0\u00a0The church will grow when it is healthy.\u00a0\u00a0It is not perfect, but as long as it is healthy, it will grow. \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

We will do a case study of a Purpose-Driven church.\u00a0\u00a0While we realize that one size does not fit all, we desire to learn from a church model and to begin our conversation to position our own church in His vision and purpose.<\/b><\/p>\n
